RWBY

If you've ever taken a look as some of Monty Ohm's old YouTube videos, such as Haloid and Dead Fantasy (a crossover of the characters from the Dead Or Alive and Final Fantasy video games) you've no doubt had to struggle to piece back together the grey matter of your mind, due to it being blown by pure epicness.  Ohm is a legend in his own name when it comes to computer animation and fighting choreography. His works are energized, fast paced, action-packed, and around the crowd eye popping.  One of the works that I am really looking forward to seeing progress in the future, is his latest anime-based series:  RWBY.  Back in 2010, Ohm was hired by the production company, Rooster Teeth.  That's right, the same guys that make Red vs. Blue, the longest running web series in the history of the world, brought Ohm into their family.  Ohm's first job with RT, was the fighting choreography in season 8 of Red vs. Blue; Revelation, which was the conclusion to the Recollection Trilogy. He continued to work with the choreography on RVB through 2011 and 2012 for seasons 9 and 10, which was the Project Freelancer series.  At the end of the last episode of season 10, a trailer promoting a Rooster Teeth original series created by Monty Ohm him self.  It's tittle, was RWBY.  The first trailer showed what would appear to be the main protagonist of the show, later revealed as Ruby Red (the red girl to the left).  The trailer's artwork was gorgeous, the music was very beautiful, energetic, and kept pace with the never boring action of Ruby cutting down a bunch of monsters with her gun/scythe.  Needless to say, I was immediately pumped and could not wait for the start of this series along with the premiere of season 11 of RVB.  Over the course of the next few months into the mid summer of 2013, three more trailers were released, revealing the remaining three main protagonists for the series, their names being Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladona, and Yang Xiao Long.  The first season of the show aired on the RT website in Jully.  I have to say, I will probably never get tired of this series as it progresses.  The characters are beautifully designed, have very memorable personalities, and are also quite witty.  The story has got a little ways to go considering that season one ended with a bit of a cliff hanger, with the only character background that was revealed was Blake's.  I have no doubt that the character development will step up along with the story in the coming season 2, which by my estimate will be sometime next spring or summer.  But for how the story is constructed so far, I find it pretty interesting.  I consider this to be the introductory season, with the jucy bits to come later on in the series.  As the saying goes, "good things come to those who wait."  And I will be waiting.  Some of the RT fans are a bit skeptical of how this series will turn out, and I can understand where they are coming from.  This is one of RT's more serious series, and on top of that, it's an anime.  For whatever reason, anime is frowned upon for those in the world who call themselves "normal" (cough, cough, BTW, no such thing).  But that's just the RT fanbase being...well the RT fanbase again, lol.  I don't care what people say about this show, I love it, it's got a lot of potential, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.  Currently season one is on preorder on both DVD and BluRay, and will also be available on iTunes.  Episodes can be viewed separately on Crunchy Roll, YouTube, and of course, Rooster Teeth.com.  I highly recommend you check it out if your interested in this kind of stuff.
